Shop the Kiama Farmers' Market on Wednesday afternoons

The Kiama Farmers' Market sets up every Wednesday at Coronation Park on Manning Street, on the grass beside Surf Beach. It runs from 3pm to 6pm in daylight saving time and 2pm to 5pm the rest of the year. In wet weather it moves to Kiama Uniting Church, also on Manning Street.
Each week local farmers and regional producers bring their goods to Surf Beach, and the market has a ritual worth seeing: no one trades until the bell is rung. Arrive a few minutes early to watch it start.
Destination Kiama lists seasonal fruit and vegetables from local market gardens, plus seafood, oysters, local Wagyu beef, honey, eggs, milk straight from the dairy, gelato made from local milk, cider, wine, mushrooms, cakes and tarts, preserves, sourdough, street food and ready-made meals.
Because it runs late in the afternoon, it doubles as an early dinner. Buy something hot, sit on the grass and let the kids play in the park or on the beach. The listing notes a car park, public toilets and disabled access (contact the market for details). Dogs are listed as "pet friendly, enquire", so check with the organisers first. Weekly updates and wet-weather calls go out on the market's Facebook page.

Browse the Kiama Seaside Markets at Black Beach

The Kiama Seaside Markets are the biggest in the region, according to Destination Kiama. They run from 9am to 3pm on the third Sunday of every month and on some public holidays, at Black Beach Reserve on Terralong Street in the centre of town. In 2026 that included a King's Birthday market on Monday 8 June and a bonus pre-Christmas market on Sunday 29 November.
Expect more than 150 stalls of locally made crafts, boutique fashion, art, jewellery, homewares, collectables and gourmet food, with live music and rides. Entry is free. There are public toilets, and the official listing says the market actively welcomes people with access needs. Dogs are listed as "pet friendly, enquire".
The market is run by Kiama Business Network, which posts dates and stall news on Instagram. Black Beach is about a 10-minute walk (0.8 km) from the Kiama Blowhole, so it is easy to walk from the Seaside Markets to the Kiama Blowhole and the Kiama Lighthouse on Blowhole Point afterwards.

Drive to the Gerringong Rotary Markets on Saturday

Gerringong is about 10 minutes' drive south of Kiama. The Rotary Markets run on the third Saturday of each month from 8.30am to 1.30pm, in the park in the centre of town at 108 Fern Street.
The Rotary Club lists toys, books, arts and crafts, clothes, leather goods and handmade candles, plus food stalls with egg and bacon rolls, Singapore dumplings, gozleme, homemade pies and sausage rolls, cakes and local produce. Destination Kiama adds that there is a playground, and sometimes buskers.
Make a morning of it: swim at Werri Beach, read our Gerringong guide, or head for lunch at one of the wineries near Gerringong and Jamberoo.

Head inland to the Jamberoo Village Market

Jamberoo is about 14 minutes' drive (11 km) inland from Kiama Ridge Waters. Its village market runs on the last Sunday of each month, except December, at Reid Park on the corner of Churchill and Allowrie streets.
It is a country market with craft stalls, fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, orchids, plants, leatherwork, knitwear, clothing, bric-a-brac, books, bread, sweets and live entertainment. Unlike the Kiama markets, the listing states plainly that it is dog friendly, on a leash.
Hours differ between sources: Destination Kiama's markets page says 8am to 2pm, while its event listing shows 9am to 1pm. Go mid-morning to be safe, and check the market's Instagram for weather updates and cancellations. Then spend the afternoon in Jamberoo or at Minnamurra Rainforest.

Look out for special and seasonal markets

A few one-off markets fill the calendar each year. Two are listed now:
- Pavilion Annual Twilight Market: Friday 27 November 2026, 1pm to 7pm, at The Pavilion, 2 Bong Bong Street, Kiama (map). Stalls sell decorations, hampers, beauty products, homewares, candles, books, clothes, arts and crafts and food, with food trucks on site. It is a good one for Christmas shopping.
- South Coast Ceramics Market: Sunday 22 August 2027, 10am to 3pm, at The Co-Op Gerringong, 18 Belinda Street (map). More than 50 local potters, sculptors and makers sell handmade ceramics in the restored building that was once the hub of the local dairy industry. Check the listing for entry details before you go.
For anything else on while you are here, see our Kiama events guide and the Kiama Show.
Park, catch the train and make the most of market day

- Seaside Markets parking: the organiser warns that parking inspectors are active around town on market days, so park legally. It suggests the train instead, as Kiama station is about a two-minute stroll from the markets. Plan your trip on Transport NSW, and see our Kiama parking guide.
- Farmers' Market parking: the official listing notes a car park. Coronation Park is about a 5-minute walk (0.5 km) from Kiama station.
- Go early for the pick of the produce and the easiest parking.
- Bring cash and a card, plus reusable bags. Destination Kiama asks visitors to take their rubbish home or use the bins.
- Check the weather. The Farmers' Market moves indoors when it rains, and Jamberoo posts cancellations on Instagram. See Kiama weather.
- Ask before bringing the dog to the two Kiama markets. Jamberoo welcomes dogs on a leash.
Plan a market weekend from Kiama Ridge Waters

Kiama Ridge Waters is about a 23-minute walk (1.9 km) from Coronation Park and a 30-minute walk (2.5 km) from Black Beach, or a few minutes by car. A few ways to build a weekend around the markets:
- Seaside Sunday: shop Black Beach in the morning, then walk about 10 minutes to the Blowhole and Lighthouse. Find lunch in our guide to where to eat in Kiama or grab fish and chips.
- Wednesday farmers market: swim in the Kiama rock pools or at Surf Beach and the other Kiama beaches, then buy dinner ingredients and cook them in the apartment's full kitchen or on the BBQ.
- Saturday in Gerringong: markets in the morning, a winery lunch, then sunset at Seven Mile Beach.
- With kids: pair the markets with more things to do in Kiama with kids and free things to do in Kiama.
Stay in a three-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen

Bring the market haul home to a full kitchen at Kiama Ridge Waters, with room to store and cook it all. Each of our three-bedroom apartments at 2 Surfleet Place sleeps six, with two bathrooms, a laundry, a covered balcony and secure parking for two cars. Easts Beach is a 15-minute walk away.
Most of our apartments welcome pets (a $200 cleaning fee applies). Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am.
